In a legal environment shaped by increasingly cross-border transactions and disputes, a clear understanding of the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments remains fundamental. On 26 February 2026, the Lecture on “Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Cyprus” was successfully held under the auspices of the Larnaca Bar Association and the Famagusta Bar Association, bringing together members of the legal profession for a focused and substantive discussion. Among other esteemed colleagues, Kriton Dionysiou addressed the recognition and enforcement of judgments originating from third states, analysing the applicable legal framework, jurisdictional prerequisites, and the practical considerations that arise before the Cypriot courts.
